The new ball for the Nigeria Premier Football League was launched as Kano Pillars took care of business in a rescheduled match with a 2-0 win over Enyimba in Kano on Thursday.
A goal in each half from Abba Adam settled the affair played in front of a packed Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, with the result sending the home side one point and one place above Enyimba on the league table.
Pillars now have 29 points from 19 matches while Enyimba have 28 points in eighth position, though the People’s Elephant still have a game in hand.

Stanley Eguma’s side fell behind midway through the first half when Adam latched on to a pass from Ibrahim Inuwa to score, before doubling the advantage 20 minutes from time for his fourth goal of the season.
Next up for Pillars is a trip to Lagos next week Wednesday to face Ikorodu City while Enyimba head to Ilorin next Monday for the match against Kwara United.
