Miran Maricic Makes Croatian Olympics History

27-year-old Miran Maricic made history on Monday by securing a bronze medal to record Croatia’s first ever medal in Shooting event at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The medal is also the country’s first at this year’s event.

Maricic secured the medal in the 10m Air Rifle with an impressive 230.0 tally, behind world champion Victor Lindgren of Sweden who won silver and China’s Sheng Lihao who claimed the gold medal.

A former junior world champion, Maricic won bronze at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championship and was present at the last edition of the Olympics in Tokyo.
