The cold relationship between Jimmy Butler and Miami Heat continues getting worse after the team suspended the 35-year-old star indefinitely without pay on Tuesday.
Butler, who has made known his desire to be traded, has been suspended twice before by the Heat organisation in recent times over disciplinary issues, making him miss up nine games in the NBA.
Th six-time NBA All-Star’s latest suspension comes after the team revealed that he walked out of team practice on Friday, clarifying that the suspension will last no fewer than five games.
“The suspension is due to a continued pattern of disregard of team rules, engaging in conduct detrimental to the team and intentionally withholding services,” a statement said.
Butler was first suspended at the start of January for what the Heat described as “multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team over the course of the season”.
