The quartet of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets showed up at the 59th edition of the NFL Super Bowl, which went down at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans Louisiana on Sunday night.
Messi and the former Barcelona stars, now playing for Inter Miami in the MLS, attended the Super Bowl LIX between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs after returning from their pre-season tour of Latin America.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had earlier acknowledged Messi’s eventual appearance ahead of the game, calling him the greatest of all time in his sport.
Jordi Alba also shared a photo of his current Miami and former Barcelona teammates at the big game ahead of their final pre-season game against Orlando City.
Inter Miami had defeated Club Olimpia Deportivo in Honduras and will play a final pre-season game against Orlando City SC in a Florida Derby, before kicking off their CONCACAF Champions Cup campaign against Sporting Kansas City. They will then open the defense of their Supporters’ Shield title against New York City FC.
The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 to become Super Bowl champions.
