One major piece of play on the pitch that could cause issues between two big stars at Real Madrid is designating roles for both players – Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe.

Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly assigned roles for the players before the new season kick-off in a few days with the UEFA Super Cup clash against Atalanta.

Now according to Spanish outlet, Marca, the veteran Italian manager has decided to keep Vinicius Junior as the squad’s first choice penalty taker.

The Brazilian international shared the role with Jude Bellingham last season, but he’s now the undisputed taker for the new season ahead of the Englishman and Mbappe.

Mbappe joined Real Madrid on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer, and fans were expecting him to become the club’s new penalty taker.

That said, the French international is not left behind in dead ball duties, as he would be in charge of taking free-kick ahead of Rodrygo Goes.

Real Madrid haven’t had a good free-kick taker since Cristiano Ronaldo left the club in 2018, with Sergio Ramos being the only one who managed the role well since then.
