Manchester United outcast, Marcus Rashford, has taken to social media to congratulate his team-mates following their unconvincing 1-0 win over Fulham in a Premier League match at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

The 27-year-old missed the clash against the Cottagers, with reports linking the England international with a move away from Old Trafford as the end of the January transfer window draws closer.

Asked about Rashford’s lingering absence after the game, Amorim stated: “It is always the same reason. The reason is the training. The way I see what a footballer should do in training, in life, every day. If things don’t change, I will not change.”

He added, “You can see it today on the bench. We needed a little bit of pace to change the game to move some pieces, but I prefer it like that. I will put [Jorge] Vital (United’s goalkeeping coach) on before I put a player that doesn’t give the maximum. I will not change in that department.”

Despite being ripped apart by Ruben Amorim, Rashford resisted the urge to bite back at his manager and instead took to Instagram to praise his team-mates on their win. He posted a five-word message saying: “Congratulations on the win lads.”
