Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United fell to a third successive loss in the Premier League on Monday night, leaving the club with more questions than answers.
Goals early in the first half by Alexander Isak and Joelinton proved enough to give Newcastle United a 2-0 win at Old Trafford, setting a number of unwanted records for the Red Devils.
The result makes it the first time Man. United have lost three consecutive home games in the league since 1979. The Red Devils remain with 22 points in 14th place, only seven points clear of the relegation zone.
Newcastle on their part have now won their last four games in the league, doing so without conceding to go fifth on the league table with 32 points, a point and a place ahead of Manchester City.
