Ruben Amorim is set to become Manchester United Head Coach as the Premier League club has reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for the 39-year-old to take over from Erik Ten Hag at Old Trafford.
The deal, according to Guardian Sport, will see Manchester United pay a €10 million (£8.3 million) release fee for Amorim along with an extra €1 million to shorten a pre-requisite 30-day notice period.
Amorim, who previously held talks with West Ham United before the start of this season, will take charge of Manchester United during the next international break which runs from November 12 till November 22.
That means interim manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy, will remain in charge of the club for the coming home games against Chelsea and Leicester City, and the Europa League clash against PAOK between those Premier League matches.
Subsequently, Amorim is expected to arrive with five members of his backroom staff to United – the coaches Emanuel Ferro, Adélio Cândido and Carlos Fernandes, goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital and sports scientist Paulo Barreira.
