Manchester United Make Late Swoop For Atalanta Star

As the January transfer window reaches a conclusion, Manchester United are still plotting moves, with the Premier League club reportedly eyeing Atalanta’s El Bilal Toure ahead of the Monday deadline.

The Red Devils are currently in the market for a new attacker following the struggles of Rasmus Hojlund – signed from Atalanta – and Joshua Zirkzee, and have identified Toure, who is on loan at Stuttgart from Atalanta, as the prime target for manager, Ruben Amorim.

However, French outlet Foot Mercato claims that a winter move could be complicated as Toure is currently out injured, coupled with the fact that Stuttgart want to keep him until the end of the season.

As per the report, Stuttgart are hoping to trigger the purchase option of €18 million (£15 million) before potentially selling him to United for a reported €25 million (£21 million) excluding add-ons.

Toure made the move to VfB Stuttgart on loan, after struggling for regular game time in Serie A with Atalanta.
