Turkish Super Lig giants, Besiktas, are in talks with Manchester United legend, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, in view of making him the club’s next Head Coach.
Solskjaer is in line to join Besiktas after the club parted ways with Dutchman, Giovanni van Bronckhorst in November 2024. Besiktas are sixth in the Super Lig which is led by Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray.
“Our company has started negotiations with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the position of Football A team technical director,” Besiktas said in a statement on the situation with Solskjaer whose last managerial role was with Manchester United which he departed in 2021.
Solskjaer got the Untied job on an interim basis initially following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in December 2018, before signing a three-year contract in March 2019.
He guided the Red Devils to a second-place Premier League finish and the Europa League final during his time in charge, but was eventually let go after a poor run of form.
