Ruben Amorim has urged his Manchester United players to show bravery ahead of their crucial Premier League showdown with Arsenal, calling the match the biggest test since he took charge of the Red Devils.
After securing two wins and a draw in his first three games as United manager, Amorim acknowledges that facing Mikel Arteta’s in-form Arsenal will be a significant challenge for both him and his squad.
“It’s important to be brave,” Amorim said. “When I say brave, I don’t mean pressing high all the time. It’s about understanding the game, knowing when to have the ball and when to control certain moments.“
Amorim added, “We want to dominate parts of the game, but we know it’s hard to control everything against a team like Arsenal.”
“Arsenal are by far the best team we’ve faced, but every game is a test,” the former Sporting Lisbon coach added. “Look at our last match against Everton—it ended 4-0, but it was really tough.”
