Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are enduring the worst imaginable run possible for a team with that much recent success, and Manchester United know that this is the best time to claim bragging rights over their neighbours.
Expert Tip
City have scored five goals in their last two Premier League matches after finding the next just once in the previous three matches. With one win in their last five in the league, and nine in all competitions, City have to go back more than a decade to see when they endured comparable poor form.
But that’s not to say United are having it rosy either. The Red Devils have lost their last two in the league, and are struggling for rhythm under new boss, Ruben Amorim.
They say ‘form goes out the window’ when it comes to derby games, but United have lost four of the last games against City in the league. This Manchester derby has all the signs of a draw written over it, that’s why we’re putting our money on Man. City win or draw.

Team News
Man. City will be without the suspended Rico Lewis, as well as John Stones, Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji, who are all injured. Phil Foden and Mateo Kovacic are back from injury, but it is not likely they will start such an important match.
As for United, Johnny Evans is back from injury, while Kobbie Maino and Leny Yoro are in contention for a place in Amorim’s starting XI at the Etihad Stadium.
