Premier League giants, Manchester City, have reached a verbal agreement with a AC Milan teammate of Super Eagles star Sam Chukwueze as Pep Guardiola looks to strengthen the Cityzens’ midfield following Kevin De Bruyne’s exit.
While De Bruyne is linked with a move to Napoli, Man. City have agreed a £46.3m deal with AC Milan to bring Netherlands international, Tijjani Reijnders, from the San Siro to the Etihad, subject to a medical.
The deal for Reijnders could see the Dutch midfielder feature for City at the Club World Cup, in a welcome boost for Guardiola, who will be without Mateo Kovacic after the Croatian midfielder was ruled out of the trip to the United States due to injury.
Reijnders impressed last season for Milan, scoring 15 goals for the Rossoneri in all competitions last season, leading to a Coppa Italia final appearance and emerging as Serie A Midfielder of the Season.
