Manchester City Hit Worst Run of Form in 18 Years After Losing at Aston Villa

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City cannot get a win at the moment, and Aston Villa are the latest beneficiaries of their poor form after inflicting a 2-1 defeat on the Premier League champions in the early kick-off on Saturday.

Goals in either half from Jhon Duran and Morgan Rogers sent Villa on their way to grab a memorable result against the Cityzens, who got a goal back through Phil Foden in stoppage time – mere consolation as Villa held on for the three points.

The result lifts Villa above City on the Premier League standings. Villa now have 28 points in fifth, while City drop to sixth with 27 points after a 9th loss in their last 12 matches – City’s worst form in 18 years.

City can drop further down the table depending on how results from the weekend’s Premier League action goes.
