Premier League side, Manchester City, have secured the signing of Netherlands international, Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan, making him the fourth player to arrive the Etihad Stadium this summer following Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, and Marcus Bettinelli.
Reijnders arrives Manchester in a £46.6m deal from the Serie A side, with the move completed just before the temporary transfer window for the FIFA Club World Cup closed on Tuesday night, making the midfielder available to feature at the competition starting this weekend in the United States.
The 26-year-old Dutchman has signed a five-year deal with City, whose transfer spending so far this summer is now at £108m – less than the £127m asking price by Bayer Leverkusen for City’s former target, Florian Wirtz.
“City are one of the biggest teams in the world, with the best coach, world-class players and outstanding facilities,“ Reijnders said. “Under Pep Guardiola, City have won so many titles and I want to help keep that going with a lot more success in the coming years.“
Reijnders is in line to debut for City alongside Cherki and AIt-Nouri in their opening Club World Cup match against Wydad Casablanca of Morroco on June 18 in Philadelphia.
