The door for Patrick Dorgu to Manchester United could be opened following reports that Lecce have set their sights on a replacement for the highly-sought full-back.
Dorgu has become the clear favourite for the left-back position at Old Trafford, with boss Ruben Amorim keen to sign a reinforcement amid Luke Shaw’s injury record and Tyrell Malacia not cutting it in his system.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Lecce have now found a replacement for Dorgu and are set to sign Danilo Veiga from Portuguese outfit Estrela Amadora as their new full-back.
The Serie A side have also been in talks with Scottish club Hearts over a potential deal for full-back Daniel Oyegoke.
With Veiga on the cusp of joining Lecce, it looks more likely that Dorgu could be on the way to Old Trafford this transfer window.
