LaMelo Ball’s Brother Bags Multi-Million Dollar Deal

The second of the Ball Brothers, LiAngelo Ball, may not be making millions from the NBA like his charismatic father, LaVar Ball, planned for all three of his boys, but he’s set to make millions anyway after bagging himself a multi-million dollar music deal.

Gelo’s brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo, are already making waves in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets respectively, so it was only a matter of when Gelo would start making his own wave.

That wave has come in the form of a record deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group (UMG) which was confirmed by a representative of Gelo’s label, Born2Ball Music Group.

The deal is reportedly set to earn Gelo up to $13 million, with $8 million guaranteed to him, along with full ownership of his music and record label as it appears he is putting basketball behind him.

26-year-old Gelo last played basketball for Mexican side, Astros de Jalisco, in 2024, and was briefly with the Detroit Pistons in 2020 before the franchise waived him ahead of the 2020/21 NBA season.
