The Spanish football federation have confirmed that the rescheduled La Liga fixture between FC Barcelona and Osasuna will be played on March 27, after appeals to postpone the game were rejected.
Originally scheduled for March 8th, the match was postponed due to the sudden passing of Barcelona’s club doctor Carles Minarro Garcia, with the RFEF setting March 27 as the new date for the game.

Barca had appealed on the grounds that at least six of their players including South Americans Raphinha and Ronald Araujo would not have the required time to rest after international duty with their national teams.
Osasuna appealed because they had another game scheduled two days later against Athletic Bilbao, with the two sides originally set to resume LaLiga action on March 28, while the weekend action is scheduled for March 29.
Despite Barcelona and Osasuna proposing other dates, their requests were turned down, with La Liga postponing Osasuna’s clash against Athletic Bilbao to March 30th instead.
