Coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, JJ Redick, is among the victims of wildfires that have wreaked devastation across the city with his house being among thousands destroyed.
More than 11 people are reported to have lose their lives in the fires that have swept LA, with an estimated 10,000 homes among other structures affected by it.
“Everything we own that was of any importance to us after 20 years together as a couple and 10 years of parenting was in that house. There are certain things that you can’t replace,” Redick said while speaking about the wildfires and his loss.
Redick’s wife and two sons were not in the house when it was struck by the fire.
The wildfires forced the Lakers to postpone their NBA match against the Charlotte Hornets, just as the LA Clippers have had their home game on Saturday postponed.
