Explosive winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, has sealed a €70 million move from Serie A leaders, Napoli, to Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain and becomes the first-ever Georgian player to feature for the French side.
Kvaratskhelia, who will wear the number 7 shirt at PSG, was linked to a number of top clubs around Europe, including Liverpool, but he has now made his choice to join PSG.
“It’s a dream to be here. I’ve heard a lot of very positive things about Paris Saint-Germain. I feel immense pride in joining this great club and I’m really looking forward to wearing my new colours,” Kvaratskhelia said.
Club President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, expressed delight at signing the 23-year-old, who was Serie A’s Player of the Season in 2023. “We are delighted to welcome Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to the Paris Saint-Germain family. Khvicha is one of the most exciting players in world football,” he said.
Al-Khelaifi added, “Khvicha was so determined to be part of our great club. I know he will achieve all his goals with us. We are delighted to be strengthening our squad and continuing to make the team the star of Paris Saint-Germain.”
