Serie A giants Juventus have opened talks with Premier League side Chelsea for the acquisition of Renato Veiga.
The 21-year-old Portuguese who arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer, wants to leave Chelsea this month after struggling for game-time under manager Enzo Maresca.
It was reported last week that Borussia Dortmund had reached a total verbal agreement with Veiga and were trying to find an agreement with Chelsea about a loan deal with an option to buy.
However, the Old Lady of Turin have entered the race to sign Renato Veiga, with talks having commenced with the Blues.
Veiga joined the Blues from Swiss side FC Basel last summer for a fee of £12million and has made 18 appearances across all competitions this term, scoring two goals.
