Serie A giants, Juventus, are reportedly in negotiations with former Italy, Manchester City and Inter Milan boss, Roberto Mancini, over becoming the club’s new manager.
The Old Lady are seemingly planning for life beyond current manager Thiago Motta, whose job is under jeopardy as the Bianconeri could miss out on a spot in the top four this season.
Motta, who arrived from fellow Italian side Bologna last summer, has struggled at the Allianz Stadium and now faces an uncertain future in Turin.
It is reported that talks with Mancini to make him the new head coach ahead of next season have reached an advanced stage, according to Tuttosport. The report also named Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini as another potential candidate for the managerial role, although direct contacts are yet to be established.
Juventus, who are nine points behind table-toppers Inter Milan, will take on Fiorentina this weekend as they aim to strengthen their bid to finish in the top four.
