Former Serie A champions Juventus are in a battle with Italian rivals Atalanta for Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, with the player already reaching agreement on personal terms with Bianconeri.
However, Atalanta remain reluctant to part with one of their most important players and the reigning Europa League holders want him to participate in their European Super Cup match against Real Madrid this week.
According to a report from Calciomercato, Koopmeiners is making efforts to force a move having sent a medical certificate to Atalanta stating that he is medically stressed and unable to train or play.
Juve already submitted a second bid for Koopmeiners in the region of €55 million including add-ons. All that’s left is for both clubs to reach an agreement which would make Koopmeiners the most expensive tranfer between Serie A clubs.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a fantastic season 2023/24 for the Italian club, scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists in 51 appearances.
