Arsenal midfielder Jorginho is on the verge of joining Brazilian clubside Flamengo ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Italian international has signed a pre-contract with Flamengo ahead of his move to Brazil this summer, according to Brazilian publication Globo.
33-year-old Jorginho, who was set to become a free agent at the end of the season, following the expiration of his contract at Arsenal, is now poised to move to South America where he will sign a three-year deal until the summer of 2028.
Jorginho has made a total of 78 appearances for Arsenal since his arrival but has only featured in nine Premier League starts under Mikel Arteta in 2024/2025 season.
Flamengo will compete at the FIFA Club World Cup where they have been pitted against Esperance Tunis and Chelsea and a yet to be named team after Mexican outfit Leon were removed from the competition.
