Miami Heat star, Jimmy Butler, is set to join Steph Curry at the Golden State Warriors ahead of the trade deadline following the multi-team deal which will come as a boost for the Dubs’ hopes of making a deep run in the playoffs later this season.

Butler has made clear his intention to leave Miami for a month and his wish looks to have been fulfilled on Wednesday night, with the 35-year-old reportedly signing a two-year deal worth $121 million, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The remaining details of the multi-trade deal which involves Utah Jazz remains unfinished at this time although it is clear the likes of Dennis Schroeder and Andrew Wiggins will be leaving the Warriors to make way for Butler.

While Wiggins is expected to end up at Miami, Schroeder is expected to move on to Utah, while PJ Tucker is expected to join Miami via Utah.

In another trade, New Orleans Pelicans are trading center Daniel Theis and draft compensation to the Oklahoma City Thunder, while Boston Celtics are trading Jaden Springer and their 2030 second-round pick to the Houston Rockets.
