British number one Jack Draper has claimed the biggest title of his career on Sunday, as he dispatched Denmark’s Holger Rune in straight sets to win the Indian Wells tournament.
The 23-year-old was in dominant form, dropping only four games as he dismissed world number 13 Rune 6-2, 6-2 to become only the fifth British player to win an ATP Masters 1000 event.
Draper’s victory at Indian Wells means the English left-hander will move up to a new career high of seventh in the world when the ATP rankings are released on Monday.
