Memphis Grizzlies put up an efficient display on the champions’ home court, with Ja Morant leading the charge by posting 32 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists to give the visitors a win at the TD Garden.
Morant had the Grizzlies putting an error-ridden Celtics to the ropes for much of the game, with the champions only taking the lead for the first time in the game during the fourth quarter.
Star man, Jayson Tatum, enjoyed a poor shooting night, making only one of 10 attempts from three-point range. In fact, only Payton Pritchard (6/11) and Jaylen Brown (2/3) put up good numbers from that range.
And the Grizzlies took full advantage by going 50% in field goals made compared to 40% made by the Celtics.
