Iwobi’s Fulham to Face Manchester United in FA Cup as Liverpool’s Conquerors Get Man. City

Super Eagles duo, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, have been handed a chance for revenge after being drawn to face reigning Cup holders Manchester United in the English FA Cup fifth round following the draws on Monday night.

The Red Devils saw off Leicester City 2-1 at Old Trafford in the fourth round, and will get the opportunity of hosting another home tie when the Cottagers come to town less than a month after suffering a 1-0 loss to Ruben Amorim’s side in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, giant-killing Plymouth Argyle who have knocked out Premier League oppositions in Brentford and Liverpool over the last two rounds, will make the trip to the Etihad to take on Premier League champions, Manchester City.

In all, there are three all-Premier League ties in the fifth round, with League Cup finalists Newcastle United at home to Brighton, and Bournemouth hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers.

There could be a fourth all-Premier League clash in the next round, with Ipswich Town taking on the winners of Tuesday night’s fourth round match between Nottingham Forest and League One’s Exeter City.

The fifth round matches will be played on the weekend of March 1st and 2nd.
