Serie A leaders, Inter Milan, will meet Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League semi-final after holding off Bayern Munich’s spirited display to play out a 2-2 draw with the Bundesliga side at the San Siro on Wednesday night.
Leading 2-1 from the first leg, Inter Milan fell behind to a Harry Kane goal early in the second half before two goals in three minutes around the hour mark from Lautaro Martinez and former Bayern man, Benjamin Pavard, turned the game around in Inter’s favour.
Eric Dier set up a tense finish to the game with the equaliser for Bayern, who squandered a late chance to send the game to extra time, as the Nerazzurri held on to claim a 4-3 aggregate win and set up a repeat of the infamous 2010 semi-final against Barcelona.
