Amen Thompson put up a stellar two-way display as Houston Rockets powered to a 131-116 win over Golden State Warriors at Toyota Center in Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs and force a decisive Game 6.

Thompson scored 25 points on 8-of-12 shooting, adding six rebounds, five steals and three blocks to his haul for the night as the Warriors struggled in vain to contain the onslaught of their hosts.

Fred VanVleet got the Rockets on their way by scoring 14 of his 26 points in the first quarter, while Alperen Sengun finished with 15 points and was one assist and one rebound shy of a triple-double in a match that saw the Rockets lead by 31 points in the third quarter before seeing off the game.
