Miles Bridges starred for the Charlotte Hornets although it took De’Aaron Fox not getting his three-point attempt off in time for the home side to overcome San Antonio Spurs by a point in NBA action on Friday night.
Fox made his debut for Spurs after joining from Sacramento Kings on trade deadline and got 22 points to complement Stephon Castle who finished with 33 points, while Victor Wembanyama had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Bridges finished with 25 points for the Hornets, and LaMelo Ball got 24 points with 10 assists in his return from a five-game absence due to an ankle injury to lead the Hornets to a 117-116 win.
Spurs were behind for most of the match but rallied to tie the scores at 114 with 42 seconds left. After Diabate missed a layup for the Hornets, Fox put the visitors ahead on a jumper with 8.4 seconds left prior to Bridges’ last three-pointer for the win.
