Ubisoft pushing back the Assassin’s Creed Shadows release date got gaming fans trolling the announcement, with most of the messages responding to the new date pointing at the biggest suspect they believe is behind the decision.
In a statement on Wednesday, the new game’s launch was moved from November 15, 2024 to February 14, 2025, citing a ‘ need more time to polish and refine the experience, pushing further some of our key features.’

That was not received with the love that ought to go round on the launch date by fans, who believe rival franchise Ghost of Yotei is responsible for the decision. GoY is the sequel to critically acclaimed game, Ghost of Tsushima by Sucker Punch Productions.
