Chelsea are in discussions to package a deal for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, with a £25m valuation thought to have been placed on the France international by the Serie A club.
News of Chelsea’s interest in Maignan comes as the Blues look set to see Spanish goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, leave Stamford Bridge to join London rivals, Arsenal, in a £5m deal.
The snag in Chelsea’s interest in Maignan is Milan’s valuation of the France international, as the Blues are not willing to pay up to that amount for the experienced goalkeeper, according to BBC Sport.
29-year-old Maignan has been a regular for Milan since joining on a five-year contract from Lille in 2021. He has also been first choice for France since Hugo Lloris retired from international football in January 2023.
