Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) giants, Enyimba, have completed the signing of former Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Brown Ideye, who returns to the league 17 years since moving abroad from Ocean Boys.

The move has been confirmed by Enyimba Sporting Director and ex-international, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, who revealed that the Aba Elephants have been in talks with 36-year-old Ideye and have signed him till the end of the 2024/25 season.

“Yes, the talks have been going on for a while and we completed it [on Monday],” Ekwueme said. “He will be with us until the end of the season and we believe he will bolster our team’s attack as we compete in the league and the continent.”

Ideye, who has been without a club since leaving Kuwaiti side Al Yarmouk in 2022, joins the fellow former Nigeria internationals, Ahmed Musa and Abdullahi Shehu, who joined NPFL rivals, Kano Pillars, earlier in the season.
