Manchester United sealed a top-eight finish in the new-look UEFA Europa League following a 2-0 victory away to Romanian side FCSB at the National Arena on Thursday night.
After an uneventful opening hour in the game which saw the first half end goalless, Diogo Dalot finally broke the deadlock on the hour mark with a close-range finish from Kobbie Mainoo’s cross.
The impressive Kobbie Mainoo registered his name on the scoresheet as he went from provider to scorer eight minutes later, tucking away a pass from Alejandro Garnacho.
Mainoo’s goal saw United seal the win and finish third in the league phase of the Europa League after going unbeaten in their eight matches.
The Red Devils have also recorded three consecutive wins in all competitions for the first time this season.
