Manchester United have fallen to back-to-back losses at Old Trafford in the Premier League following a 2-0 setback against Eberechi Eze’s Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

A second-half brace by Jean-Philippe Mateta following a goalless first half condemned the Red Devils to an 11th loss in the league and mounting pressure on the team.

The result leaves United in 13th with 29 points while Crystal Palace go above Ruben Amorim’s side to 12th with 30 points.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur put an end to a poor run of form with a 2-0 win over London rivals, Brentford, at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Vitaly Janelt’s own goal put the visitors in front just before the half-hour mark, before Pape Matar Sarr goal with two minutes left in the 90 sealed a welcome result for Ange Postecoglu.

The Bees remain 11th with 31 points, missing the chance to break into the top half of the league, while Spurs are now 14th provisionally with 27 points, two points behind Man. United and ahead of West Ham on goal difference with the Hammers having a game in hand.
