Diogo Jota and Andre Silva have been laid to rest at a highly emotional burial ceremony held in their hometown of Gondomar in Portugal on Saturday, two days after the brothers died in a car accident in Spain.
The funeral was attended by family and friends, including Jota’s 28-year-old wife, Rute Cardoso, just two weeks after their wedding ceremony in Spain.

Players and staff of Liverpool FC and the Portugal national team were also among those at the Parish Church of Saint Cosme and Saint Damiao for the funeral.
