Dream January Transfers That Can Push Your Team to Win Titles This Season

The January transfer window is up and running, with clubs expressing interests in players they hope can change the fortunes of their season. While all that goes on, there are dream scenarios fans would absolutely go over the moon if they became reality.

Victor Osimhen to Chelsea

The Nigerian striker has been making waves in his loan spell at Galatasaray, more so since Mauri Icardi suffered a season-ending injury.

Before joining the Turkish Super Lig giants, Osimhen was close to joining Chelsea on a permanent basis from Napoli only for talks between both parties to crumble over wages.

However, with Chelsea performing above expectations so far this season, having Osimhen spearheading the attack with the likes of Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho and more creating chances, Enzo Maresca’s team could have fans celebrating one or two major trophies by the end of May.

Dusan Vlahovic to Arsenal

Vlahovic has long been linked to an Arsenal side that relies on Kai Havertz (considered by many as a False 9 at best), an inconsistent Gabriel Jesus, and wing wizard Bukayo Saka for the goals.

But with Saka recovering from a hamstring injury that will keep him out till April, while Havertz and Jesus have not been as clinical as Arsenal fans would love for a player leading the club’s attack to be, having the agile Serbian from Juventus will give the Ashburton Grove faithful hope for a title this season.

Florian Wirtz to Manchester City

Pep Guardiola has enjoyed great success at Manchester City, with Kevin De Bruyne a major factor in that success that has seen the Cityzens win four consecutive Premier League titles and reach the Champions League final two times in the last five years.

However, KDB’s consistent availability has been suspect in recent times, leading to a reduction in the frequency of high quality chances to score for City – a problem Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz is a prime candidate to solve should City manage to get him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid

Real Madrid fans are not easily pleased, but you get a feeling hopes will be raised if a player with great passing range such as TAA’s arrives at the Bernabeu to complement a formidable attack comprising Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo.

VIktor Gyokeres to Manchester United

For now, there is a sense that Ruben Amorim will get Manchester United back to the top if given the time and resources to get the Red Devils there, and signing the top scoring player of 2024 will be one way of making a statement of intent.

Both worked together to devastating effect at Sporting Lisbon until last November when Amorim took over at Old Trafford.

Gyokeres has maintained his scoring form at Sporting, but the United faithful will certainly approve a Carrington reunion for the duo especially after what they did to Manchester City in the Champions League.

Which of these dream transfers do you feel can come true this January or by summer 2025?
