Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s goal early in the second half was enough to earn Chelsea a 1-0 success over FC Copenhagen and complete a 3-1 aggregate win in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday night.
Following an disjointed and goalless first half in Stamford Bridge, Dewsbury-Hall got the spectators on their feet 10 minutes into the second half when he forced his way through the visitors’ defence before scoring.
Despite Chelsea going close to a second, Dewsbury-Hall’s goal proved to be the match-winner as the Blues extended their winning streak in Europe to eight matches, and booked a clash in the quarter-final against Legia Warsaw.
