Rangers of Scotland managed to get a 1-1 draw against Ukraine’s Dynamo Kyiv in a Champions League first leg qualifying match after Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers scored a dramatic late equaliser for the Gers.

Andriy Yarmolenko’s first-half opener for Dynamo left the Rangers fans stunned to silence as they appeared set to watch their club’s below average start to the season continue.

However, Dessers netted a close-range finish with the final kick of the match to salvage what could prove to be a crucial result at the Lublin Arena in Poland where the match was played.

Rangers go into the second leg at Hampden Park next Tuesday aiming to get the result that will seal a place in the Champions League play-off round up for grabs.
