Match officials for the 2024/2025 Copa del Rey final between bitter rivals Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have been appointed to take charge of the eagerly-anticipated El-Clasico contest at La Cartuja.

The center referee for the fixture will be De Burgos Bengoechea, with Gonzalez Fuertes supporting as VAR official. It will be the fourth time that De Burgos Bengoechea would be officiating a match involving FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Bengoechea’s first El-Clasico came in 2017 during the first-leg of the Spanish Super Cup under the previous format, which saw Madrid get a 3-1 win over Barça.

The second time came in 2023 in the Spanish Super Cup under the final-four system which took place in Saudi Arabia. Barcelona defeated Madrid 3-1 to lift the trophy with Gavi, Robert Lewandowski and Pedri scoring the goals.

Then earlier this season, De Burgos Bengoechea also took charge of the Clasico fixture at the Bernabeu, where Barcelona claimed a resounding 0-4 victory courtesy of efforts from Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
