Tennis star, Coco Gauff, has reacted to the controversy surrounding the social media app, TikTok, amid the ban imposed on it in the United States after a bipartisan vote in the Senate.
It was determined by the Senate that there were too many risks associated with the app due to its connections to China. However, the app was functioning again a few hours later.
This development prompted the 20-year-old player to post a screenshot of her TikTok app along with the caption, “Lmfaooo we were dramatic for what”, which was in response to the message the app’s users in the US received.
TikTok users in the US regained access to the app about 12 hours after the initial ban after President Donald Trump and his administration provided a temporary pause to the ban.
Trump’s new administration also provided a liability shield to companies like Google and Apple, allowing the app to be downloaded from app stores without fear of facing legal repercussions.
