Chelsea forward, Christopher Nkunku, is set to depart the Premier League club after reportedly agreeing terms to join German Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old Frenchman, who arrived in West London in the summer of 2023 from RB Leipzig, has failed to establish himself at Stamford Bridge mostly due to injuries.
Nkunku has been forced to play second fiddle to Nicolas Jackson this season and has started just three Premier League matches, scoring two goals in 18 appearances for the Blues.
Now, he will be hoping a move to Bavaria will revive his career as he looks to be in the mix for the French national team with the World Cup coming up next year.
Interestingly, Chelsea have enquired from Bayern about young forward, Mathys Tel, who held talks with Bayern boss, Vincent Kompany, in recent days. Remains to be seen if Chelsea’s interest in Tel will have an effect on Nkunku joining Bayern.
