Chris Wood Sets Nottingham Forest Record with Goal Against Manchester United

Nottingham Forest striker, Chris Wood, has become the club’s all-time leading scorer in the Premier League with his goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Wood scored Forest’s third goal early in the second half, meeting a Morgan Gibbs-White cross with a looping header over Andre Onana into the United goal for his 10th in 15 matches in the league this season.

The goal is also Wood’s 25th in the Premier League for Forest, making him the club’s leading scorer in the top flight ahead of Bryan Roy and reaching the milestone on his 33rd birthday.

Following a week in Manchester – Forest lost 3-0 at Manchester City in midweek before winning at Old Trafford – next up for Wood and fifth placed Forest is a home match against sixth placed Aston Villa.
