Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea have opened talks with Borussia Dortmund as the Blues look to bring in another attacking option following the arrival of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town in a £30m deal.
The recently crowned Conference League champions have decided not to make Jadon Sancho’s loan deal permanent, and could see Christopher Nkunku leave Stamford Bridge this summer after the Frenchman struggled for a starting shirt.
This has led Chelsea to turn their attention to 20-year-old Jamie Gittens, offering the forward a seven-year contract to make the move from the Signal Iduna Park to Stamford Bridge.
It is expected that Chelsea will part with £30m to complete the deal for the England U21 player, though, BBC Sport understands Dortmund could hold out for a £40m fee before letting go of Gittens.
