The 2025-26 season will see Manchester City have a diagonal sash design featuring in the new home kit, a stripe design that was spotted in previous away shirts of the club, as the Premier League club unveiled the new kit on Tuesday.
It is the first time the design will be implemented for the home kit, with City stating it creates ‘a connection to the past with a futuristic design, bridging the gap between different generations of City fans.’
The men’s first team will wear the new home kit at this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup, taking place in the United States of America.
“We’re so excited to be featuring the iconic sash, made famous from away days of old, on the Home kit for the first time,“ PUMA’s Senior Director of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel, Marco Mueller stated.
A club ambassador, Mike Summerbee, added, “Kits hold special memories for players and fans. The sash has always been a loved design that people remember fondly, and I’m delighted to see it return this year, on a Home kit.“
