Steph Curry was helpless in preventing Golden State Warriors from falling to a 40-point demolition at the hands of Boston Celtics, who had six players finish in double-digit points in NBA action on Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Chase Center.
Curry was the only Warriors starter to reach double digits, scoring 18 points in 27 minutes while Moses Moody chipped in with 13 as the former champions fell 85-125 to the reigning champions – their worst home defeat in 40 years.
Jayson Tatum finished with a game-high 22 points and nine rebounds for the Celtics, with Kristaps Porzingis getting 18 points and Jaylen Brown having 17, while Payton Pritchard got 14 points and nine assists off the bench.
