Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa are attracting interest following a fine campaign for Brentford last season, with the Cameroon international scoring 20 goals in the Premier League while his Congolese strike partner ended the 2024-25 league season with 19 goals for the Bees.
Mbeumo has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, and the Cameroon international has revealed his intention to join the Red Devils, with the Old Trafford outfit set to open talks with Brentford as they pursue an agreement to sign the forward this summer.
The 25-year-old has a year left on his current contract at Brentford, though it includes an option to extend by an additional 12 months. Last season was the Cameroon international’s most productive since joining from French side Troyes in 2019, contributing eight assists along with the goals scored.
Mbeumo’s performances have attracted interest from the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, but he favours a switch to Old Trafford, if they can strike a deal with Brentford.
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank had admitted last month that the club would be open to selling Mbeumo this summer if an appropriate offer arrived. “If the right price and that’s going to be expensive — is coming, then I’m sure the club will be open to it,” Frank told Sky Sports.
Mbeumo, who has scored four times in 18 appearances at international level for Cameroon, was fourth on the Premier League scorers chart last season with 20 goals.
