Blow for Arsenal After Havertz Injury, Leaves Gunners Without a Striker

Arsenal have been dealt a big blow as the club is now without a first-team striker to call upon after Kai Havertz suffered an injury which is set to rule him out for the rest of the season.

The Gunners are currently in Dubai for a training camp, but will return to action this weekend without a recognised striker to pick in the starting line-up after Havertz picked up a hamstring injury.

Havertz’s injury is serious enough that it is being reported by The Athletic that he is set to miss the rest of the season in what will be a blow for Mikel Arteta, who was already without Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli.

The club failed to sign any attacking reinforcement upfront during the January transfer window, and had a late bid for Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins immediately turned down by the Midlands club.

Already without Bukayo Saka as well – the winger has returned to light training and is slated to return some time in March – it leaves the club banking on the likes of Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri, and Raheem Sterling.
