Netherlands midfielder Xavi Simons has completed a loan move back to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig from French giants, Paris Saint-Germain.

The latest loan deal was confirmed on Monday by PSG and will not include a buy option for the German club according to French champions in a statement on its website on Monday.

“The Dutch midfielder has again been loaned to RB Leipzig without a purchase clause for the 2024-25 season following a successful 2023-24 campaign with the Bundesliga club,” the statement read.

Simons was rumoured to be in talks with Bayern Munich weeks ago but has now decided to return to Leipzig for another spell.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell at Die Roten Bullen last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists. He then starred for the Dutch in their run to the knockout stages at Euro 2024, losing to England in the semis.
